Financial aid begins disbursing to UNT student accounts near the start of classes each term.  Scholarships begin disbursing to UNT student accounts on the first day of class each semester.

Financial aid disbursed will apply toward outstanding educational charges such as tuition, housing, and meal plans.  If funds disbursed are over the amount of your outstanding balance due in myUNT student portal, the difference will be refunded to you, typically 3-4 days after disbursement.  Please see Refunds (Student Accounting website) for additional details regarding the refund process.
