UNT offers a variety of options to help you pay for your college education. The types of aid listed below require the following: be a U.S citizen or eligible non-citizen; completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid each year by the established priority dates; maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements; and at least half-time enrollment in an eligible program at the university. 

Scholarships
A scholarship is a financial award given to a student on the basis of academic achievement and promise and does not need to be repaid. Many scholarships are awarded based on merit.
Grants
Grants can come from the federal government, your state government, your college or career school, or a private or nonprofit organization and typically don't have to be repaid.
Work-Study
The College Work-Study program allows students to work part-time in specified positions to earn up to $2500 per semester to help pay for educational expenses.
Loans
If you apply for financial aid, you may be offered loans as part of your school's financial aid offer. A loan is money you borrow and must pay back with interest.
Programs & Partnerships
UNT Promise Programs and Partnerships ensure eligible students will receive a combination of federal, state, and/or institutional funding to cover the full cost of tuition and mandatory fees in fall and spring semesters.
